Ganga Arti

This image was taken in Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world. The ‘Ganga Arati’ is one of the rituals
performed round the year on the ghats of the holy Ganga. Flanked with huge golden lamps, the Arati is performed by the Hindu priests every evening after dusk. It is one of the greatest attractions for tourists and photographers from all over the world.

Holy Bath
Street photography or travel photography is all about capturing that one right moment that tells a thousand words. This image is one of those kinds- where the image tells us a story. Some view it very wittily enjoying a series of
colorful women at the backdrop, while others say, this is the power of women. Many even say this is also a reflection of how the society should be. But the reality is different. In the original context of the situation, this image depicts a man taking a holy dip in the river Ganga, while women in a row perform their rituals.

Childhood bliss
Children, always my favorite subject, have been a source of inspiration to me to capture moods, emotions and innocence in the most natural way. This image was taken in one of the old schools of Varanasi, where this child was staring at me through the window, probably trying to relate my sudden presence there with the big gun on my shoulder!
