Problem with Bangla fonts?

NoteThis page can be best viewed if you have the font 'Ekushey Puja' installed in your computer. It can be downloaded from HERE or HERE. For all other problems regarding fonts, click HERE.

For Windows,

Just go to this link, download and install the software Avro and when you get a box like this, select the font Adorsho Lipi from the opened window. Restart the computer. This will also solve the bengali font size problem.
Then, go to this link  and download the font ‘Ekushey Puja’. Just copy and paste the file in the ‘Fonts’ folder in the ‘Windows’ folder in the main (C:) drive. Restart the web browser (Chrome/ Firefox/ I.E).

You could also go to this page for further assistance.

For Debian based systems (like Ubuntu),

Go to Synaptic, search for and download the 'truetype bengali fonts'. Now restart the web browser. You should now be able to see Bengali.
Now, go to this link and download the font ‘Ekushey Puja’ to the desktop. Open a terminal, type "sudo mv Puja-17-06-2006.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype//ttf-bengali-fonts/" (before that, you could check that the folder 'ttf-bengali-fonts' was already there.) Type in your password. Restart the web-browser. You should now be able to see the page in the way it was meant to be seen.
