Water and life -- Sudarshan

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? -- Hermann Hesse
It's everywhere. It's in the calm at the source and at the mouth, in the trepidations of rapids, in the desperation of horse-show lakes, in the placid homecoming of ferries. It's the prima donna of elements. Crystalline in its purity, fluid in its deviousness, vacuous in its promises, torrential in keeping them.
Water is life. We present the photo-series ‘Water and life’ by the brilliant and extremely talented photographer Sudarshan Mondal.

About The Photographer:
Sudarshan Mondal

Sudarshan Mondal loves making images and its creative process. His selection of subjects and approach depends on the project theme he is up to and in this pursuit he works on mundane things: people on streets, landscapes, nature, travel, abstract forms - both in color and black & white. He is now working on a few short and long term non-journalistic projects, mostly personal in nature. Through his photographic endeavor, he tries to establish a sense of time, search social theories, look at the world in a different perspective, and sometimes depicts his own state of mind. From his early days of learning basic camera technicalities, color theories and management, processing raw files in Photoshop or Lightroom, to a trip photographing fashion in Miami, tracing fall colors in New Hampshire, driving on the mountain roads of Smoky or Yellowstone, shooting bikini babes in Puerto Rico or streets in New York City, his quest for new experience compelled him to continually evolve his thought process, while reminding him the importance of carrying a camera with humor, compassion, and curiosity.
