After a busy day at work, you can opt for an evening stroll by the Marina Barrage or go for a boat ride and be captivated by grandeur of the Singapore Flyer and the city skyline and laser shows.

প্রতিশ্রুতি মতো আজ আগের পোস্ট এ দেওয়া ছবিগুলোর উপায় বলবো।

এই উপায়ে ছবি তুলতে কি কি লাগবে?

১) ক্লোজ আপ লেন্স বা ম্যাক্রো লেন্স (লেন্সের গুণমান এবং ফিল্টারের পরিধির উপর ভিত্তি করে দাম ২৫০/- থেকে ৫০০০/-)।

২) টেলিফটো লেন্স (অন্তত ৮৫ মিমি বা তার বেশি)।

আশাকরি আগের পোস্ট গুলো থেকে আপনাদের কাছে এটা পরিষ্কার যে ম্যাক্রো ফটোগ্রাফি তে অন্তত 1x magnification (বা তার বেশি) দরকার। ক্লোজ আপ লেন্স এর এই magnify করার ক্ষমতা কে diopter একক দিয়ে বলা হয়। +১, +২, +৪, +১০ ক্ষমতার ক্লোজ আপ লেন্স পাওয়া যায়। single element এর ক্লোজ আপ লেন্স গুলো এই ৪ রকম diopter ক্ষমতার সেট এ বিক্রি হয়। তবে এগুলোর ছবি গুণগতভাবে খুব একটা ভালো নয় (নিজে ব্যবহার করেই বলছি ভায়া)। double element এর +১০ ক্ষমতার ক্লোজ আপ লেন্স আছে, যেটার দাম ফিলটারের পরিধির উপর নির্ভর করে ৩৫০০/- থেকে ৮৫০০/- হতে পারে (Canon 250D আর Canon 500D। Canon এর DSLR বডির সাথে গোলাবেন না কিন্তু)। শুনেছি এগুলোর ছবি single element এর থেকে ভালো ওঠে।

এর আগের পোস্টে extension tube ব্যবহার করে তোলা কিছু ছবি আপনারা দেখেছেন। কিভাবে extension tube দিয়ে ম্যাক্রো ফোটোগ্রাফি করতে হয় সেটা বলার আগে অ্যাপারচার লিভার-এর ব্যাপারটা একটু বলে নেওয়া ভালো। এই লিভারটির কাজ হলো লেন্স অ্যাপারচারকে এর নির্বাচিত F-number এ খুলে রাখা। লিভার টি একটা স্প্রিং দিয়ে অ্যাপারচার এর সাথে যুক্ত এবং ক্যামেরা বডির ইলেকট্রনিক অ্যাটাচমেন্ট দিয়ে নিয়ন্ত্রিত হয়। কিন্তু রিভার্স লেন্স টেকনিক ব্যবহার করলে(অর্থাৎ কিনা, লেন্সকে উলটো করে ঘুরিয়ে ক্যামেরায় লাগালে) ইলেকট্রনিক লিঙ্ক বিচ্ছিন্ন হয় এবং অ্যাপারচার পুরোপুরি বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। এর ফলে depth of field খুব বেশি হলেও আলো প্রায় না ঢোকায় ছবি কমপোজ করা যায় না(প্রায় অন্ধকারে ছবির বিষয়কে দেখতেই পাওয়া যায় না- দেখা না গেলে ছবি তুলবেন কি করে)। এই অসুবিধে দূর করার জন্য একটা শক্ত কাগজ কেটে নীচের ছবির মতো করে ব্যবহার করলে মুশকিল আসান। তবে এই উপায়টা Nikkor G-type লেন্সের জন্য। Nikkor D-type লেন্সে অ্যাপারচার রিং থাকে।

এবার তাহলে আগের পোস্টের ছবি গুলো কীভাবে তুলেছি সেটার গল্প করি। প্রথমেই বলে নিই কি কি লাগবে:

Andaman & Nicobar are a group of archipelagic islands in the Bay of Bengal cast away from mainland India. Of the 572 islands, islets and rocks that constitute the Andaman and Nicobar chain, as little as 36 are inhabited. 

With an aura of dense tropical rain forest across the landscape that is complimented by soft, white sands across the beaches, Andaman boasts of a rich variety of flora and fauna.

Ross Island

Port Blair, the present capital of Andaman, provides an insight into a tortured, colonial history of the "Saza-e-Kalapani" and its transformation into a tourist haven. Ross Island, North Bay Island and Chidiya Tapu are some of the worthwhile destinations that can be accessed from the capital.

"ইচ্ছে থাকলেই উপায় হয়" – কথাটা যে কোনো ধরনের ফোটোগ্রাফির ক্ষেত্রে সত্যি। যেমন ধরুন ম্যাক্রো ফোটোগ্রাফি, মানে খুব ছোটো জিনিসকে বড় করে দেখানো। এই ধরনের ফোটোগ্রাফিতে যে সব instrument লাগে সেগুলোর দাম খুব বেশি। ম্যাক্রো-নিবেদিত প্রাণ লেন্স, একটা উদাহরণ দিচ্ছি - AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED। এর দাম ৫৪৪৫০/- টাকা।
সুতরাং বেশির ভাগ শখের ফোটো-তুলিয়েদের পক্ষে এই ধরনের ছবি তোলাটা বেশ কঠিন ব্যাপার। উপায়ান্তর আছে। খুব কম খরচে কি করে ম্যাক্রো ফোটোগ্রাফি করা যায়, সেটার একটা রাস্তা (অন্য অনেক সম্ভাব্য উপায় আছে) আমি আজ বলছি।

Honey, I Shrunk the Pics! (1) -- Saikat

নিচের ছবিগুলো macro photography র একটি লম্বা সিরিজের প্রথমাংশ। ছবিগুলো তুলতে ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে Nikon D3100 ক্যামেরা, ১৮-৫৫ মি.মি. কিট লেন্স(reverse ring সহ), ঘরে বানানো diffuser (কোনও external flash ব্যবহার করা হয়নি) আর tripod।

ক্যামেরা, লেন্স আর ট্রাইপড তো আজকাল যে কোন শখের ফটোগ্রাফারের কাছেই থাকে। এ ছাড়া macro ছবি তুলতে আর যা লাগে, তার খরচ মাত্র ২৫০-৩০০ টাকা। ডিফিউসারটা হাতে তৈরি, তাই ফ্রি!

New Plymouth -- Chayan

A sleepy district in the North Island of New Zealand, New Plymouth is an eclectic mix of diverse cultures, contemporary style and a traditional friendliness that has fashioned New Zealand since old times. With the waves of Tasman Sea kissing the black-sand beaches on one side and the snow-capped peaks of Mt.Taranaki (Mt.Egmont) standing tall at the other, New Plymouth offers scenic beauty that leaves you spellbound. The coastal walkway is an 11km path that forms an expansive sea-edge promenade stretching almost the entire length of New Plymouth. For a little bit of peace and solitude, Pukekura Park in central New Plymouth is a stunning example of an urban space developed over decades into a national icon. Add that to the numerous river walkways that exhibit a variety of native and exotic flora and a myriad of other ‘tucked away’ spots for a period of quiet contemplation. In fact, the district boasts 16 parks and reserves, with 13 official beaches, 60km of walkways and includes many unique tourist attractions that make the place ‘like no other’. So, if you want to be awake every morning and live a dream, New Plymouth is the place to be.
